Extra Large Horsehead Philodendron
The Horsehead Philodendron has long, broad, arrow-shaped leaves with varied articulation. It's a shrubby foliage plant with a growth habit that is both dense and upright.
At this size, it's already a well-established and mature plant but it will get even better with age; when the leaf shape fully develops and gives the plant even more character. In many ways the Horsehead Philodendron resembles an Alocasia, but two stand out differences are the abundance of stems at the Philodenron’s base (Elephant Ear stems are rhizomatic) and the shape of the leaves (Elephant Ear leaves are unlikely to be so articulated).
It’s fairly easy to please, so will thrive in a variety of homes and offices. The only thing to be mindful of is that it needs a good amount of indirect light to grow well and has a very large span so will require a few meters of space!
Pets: mildly toxic.
Growing pot size: 30cm diameter x 28cm height. Overall plant height (from bottom of growing pot) approximately 80-90cm with a huge span of 2-2.5 meters
