Night Flowering Cactus
Cereus peruvianus Florida
A mature example of the famous Night Flowering Cactus. The most romantic of all cacti, the Cereus peruvianus Florida grows beautiful flowers in the wild, but they only bloom for a single night and then fall away.
Point of interest: these cacti are a not-so distant relation of those which produce dragon fruit. The Florida Cactus has its own edible fruit, but it's unlikely (though not unheard of) to grow on a houseplant.
Hardy and easy going, with a long lifespan, this plant will love you forever as long as you don’t overwater it.
