A rare succulent plant which is close to extinction in the wild. It can only be pollinated by one particular type of moth which is now extinct - it is estimated that there are only about seven growing in the wild on the Hawaiian island of Kaua’i. Scientists and volunteers are now ensuring the survival of this plant by pollinating them by hand and harvesting the seeds to propagate them.
