Eco Kokodama Plant Bundle

Regular price £55.00 £0.00

For those back to uni this month, we know how important it is to make your new accommodation feel like home. And you guessed it, there is no better way of making a new space homely than bringing the outdoors indoors!

Houseplants are great in many ways and are thought to improve attention span, concentration levels and creativity. The perfect housemates for students!

This bundle is ‘eco’ in the best ways! Eco-friendly and Eco-nomical!

The Eco Plant Bundle Includes:

Spider Plant | Chlorophytum

Spider plants are one of the most popular houseplants around. They are super strong and can survive in most conditions. Its light green narrow arching leaves can grow up to 1.5 feet long.

It’s also known as Airplane plant, Spider ivy, Ribbon plant and Bernard’s lily and it will look gorgeous as a hanging plant!

Kokodama Size: 15 cm

Overall plant height including Kokodama: 10 - 20 cm

Care Tips: Make sure you give it plenty of water to keep the soil moist (not soggy). Rainwater and distilled water are preferred and misting it from time to time will give the extra humidity it needs. Average temperatures are perfect, avoid cold draughts. Feed it with a liquid fertiliser in the growing season.

Pets: Pet friendly!

Pilea Depressa

A cute climber, the Pilea Depressa may look delicate but it’s actually a strong-willed little one!

Perfect for kitchens and bathrooms due to its love for humidity, it will look adorable as a hanging plant. As it grows, its stems will trail giving you that tropical touch every plant parent craves for!

Kokodama size: 15 cm

Overall plant height including Kokodama:  5 - 15 cm

Care Tips: The Pilea Depressa can grow in a variety of lighting conditions but a bright area away from direct sunlight is preferred. Once you notice that the soil is dry to the touch, it’s time to water it. Keep the soil moist but not soggy. It’s a tropical plant so it prefers warmer and slightly humid environments. Misting it often can help!

Toxicity: One of the safest choices for those with furry housemates!

Sedum Tornado | Sedum Makinoi

The Sedum Tornado is a compact succulent with lustrous, small foliage that grows on a red stem. Originally from Costa Rica, it enjoys warm and sunny environments.

Kokodama bowl size: 15 cm

Overall plant height including Kokodama: 5 - 15 cm

Care Tips: A sun lover! The Sedum Tornado will appreciate as much sunlight as possible during the day but it can tolerate partial shade. It is also drought tolerant but will need some water, especially during the warmer months. Let the soil dry between waterings.

Toxicity: Keep away from nibbly pets and curious children

String of Hearts | Ceropegia wooddii

Also known as Rosary Vine and Chain of Hearts, this succulent is a trailing plant with cute variegated mini heart-shaped leaves.

Kokodama Size: 12cm

Overall plant height including Kokodama:  15 - 20cm

Care Tips: The String of hearts loves warmth and bright light! It can tolerate direct light as long as it is not throughout the whole day. As a succulent, it’s happy to be on the dry side, let the soil dry completely between waterings.

Pets: Safe for pets!

What is a Kokodama?

They are biodegradable coconut fibre bowls handmade in Sri Lanka. A margin of the profits goes back to the community to help with local projects to give school children a better future.

A sustainable alternative to plastic plant pots. You’ll help the environment and the Sri Lankan community by creating your own private jungle!

But what is the correct spelling?

Kokedama: A Japanese tradition, they are bowls made with moss on which the plant grows.
Kokodama: Our Kokodamas are based on the Japanese tradition but made with coconut fibre, hence the slight variation on their name!

Upgrade your indoors with the addition of this lovely kokodama bundle. Available now!
