Alocasia zebrina 'Tiger' with Yin Yang
Featured in Grazia magazine in the run up to fashion week, the Alocasia zebrina/Yin Yang pairing is a stiletto-throwing stunner of a combination.
The Alocasia zebrina 'Tiger' is one of nature's great quirks. It boasts sturdy animal-print rhizomatic stems (multiple stems branching off from a single base) and broad arrow-shaped Elephant Ear leaves.
Though the glory of the Zebria is in its 90s jungle-print, the leaves are also pretty amazing, with their strongly articulated veins and deep green colouring. The leaves, as you can see in the photo, grow in neat little curls and unfurl as they grow.
We've paired it with the sultry and simple Yin Yang basket, a contemporary take on a traditional object.
Alocasias like high humidity, bright indirect light, warmth and lightly moist soil.
