The Money tree receives its name because, according to Feng Shui, it brings prosperity and wealth to those who keep it. While we can't guarantee this, we can confirm that the Pachira Aquatica is a beautiful and low-maintenance plant that will liven up homes and offices!

I'm a super-hardy tree often going by the names Guiana Chestnut or Saba Nut. I will bring positive energy, prosperity and good fortune.

Key Benefits of Money Tree:

Plants like the Money Tree help reduce levels of cortisol in our system, decreasing the chances of stress and anxiety disorders.

Its air purifying qualities also lead to better respiratory health.

A great plant to have in the bedroom. It will keep you relaxed and ready for a restful sleep!

Growing pot size: 12cm

Overall plant height including growing pot: 30-35 cm

Money Tree Care Tips:

The Money Tree is very low maintenance, only requiring watering once every week and a bright environment out of direct sunlight.

The plant's bright green, textured leaves can be damaged by exposure to direct sun, so it's better to err on the side of the shade. The leaves also have fragile stems so can sometimes break off due to their weight, but don't worry too much, as they will soon grow back.

If you want to keep the Money Tree's size, you can keep it in the same pot, it only needs to be reported if you want it to grow larger. Choose a well-draining, nutrient-rich potting soil mix and a pot with a good drainage system.

The Money Tree Story

The Money Tree is also known as the Provision Tree, Saba Nut, Guiana Chestnut or French Peanut.

Because of the good fortune and prosperity associated with the plant, it is quite a common wedding present in East Asia, representing wishes of happiness and success for the newlywed couple. Some folk tales even say that an old Taiwanese farmer struggling with his harvest found a pachira aquatica in his fields one day, grew more plants from its seeds, and sold them to make his fortune (hence the name of Money Tree).

Where is it from?

Originally from Central America, especially Mexico and South America.

Who is the Money Tree?

Although easygoing, the Money Tree will give you signs that it needs a bit of attention.

If you notice its leaves turning yellow, it’s because its soil and moisture conditions may not be on point. Make sure any excess water is being discarded.
