A row of trailing Philodendron scandens makes a fantastic living green curtain. Mature plants may produce spathes of green-white flowers.

  • Make sure the soil is always moist, letting the top dry out between waterings. Be careful to not overwater. Mist it occasionally for extra humidity.
  • Wipe the leaves with a clean cloth from time to time to remove excess dust.
  • Brazilians are known for their love of warm weather! This one is no different! Between 16 and 24 ºC is ideal!
  • If you see any brown leaves or stems, cut them back.
  • Feed it once every couple of months during the growing season.

Light

I prefer medium light. I can tolerate bright light but not direct sunlight. A good option for a less sunny room.

Water

Let the very top of my soil dry before watering as I don't like wet roots.

Temperature

Temperatures between 16-24 degrees are ideal for me.

Feeding

During the growing season feed me every 6 weeks with a diluted solution.

Grooming

If I'm getting too gangly, cut back straggly ends and I should grow more consistently.

Care

Wipe my leaves with a damp cloth to remove dust. That way I can photosynthesis properly and look my best.
