Good Luck Plant 'Kiwi'

English name:

Good Luck Plant 'Kiwi'

Latin name:

Cordyline fruticosa 'Kiwi'

About me:

I am a tropical beauty, primarily grown from my foliage which featured streaks of light and darg green, cream and hot pink.

Useful to know:

Origin

I am native to western Pacific areas - NZ, eastern Australia and Hawaii

Height/Growth

I can grow to 1.5m in height and grow at an average speed

Light

I like bright light so feel free to pop me in the sun (when there is some!)

Water

I like my soil to be moist but not soggy. You can leave my soil to dry out during winter between waterings

Temperature

I like it warm but live comfortably in rooms above 15 degrees C

Feeding

During the summer months, I like to be fed weekly with a nitrogen-rich liquid fertiliser.

Grooming

I like my leaves to be misted and if my leaves get dusty, put me under a cold shower! Feel free to trim my stems if I start growing to wildly.

Care

If I start losing my leaves, try upping the humidity and temperature around me

Toxicity

My leaves are toxic but you'd have to eat a lot to get ill!

Fact

If we're lucky enough to get a good summer, I can produce fragrant pink flowers which are follwed by deep purple berries
