English name:Philodendron Birkin 'White Wave'
I am a new variety of Philodendron with beautiful white markings on my leaves. My name Birkin relates to the famous designer bag by Hermes.
Useful to know:
I came about through a spontaneous mutation of the Philodendron Rojo Congo so I don't exist in the wild!
I can grow up to 80cm.
I like bright indirect light and no direct sunlight.
Allow top layer of soil to dry between waterings and water me less in winter.
Room temperatures of 16-24°C are perfect.
Feed me fortnightly from spring to autumn.
Give my leaves a regular dusting.
I like higher levels of humidity so please mist me or place me on a tray of pebbles. If the edges of my leaves are yellowing, you're probably overwatering me.
I am toxic so please don't eat me.
I have been known to produce purely white or green leaves and there's even evidence that I can randomly grow a Rojo Congo leaf!
