The Peperomia ‘Hope’ is a rare plant, originally from the Amazon.
Its unique leaves are thick, gently rounded and coloured a vivid green with subtle white stripes. This gently-growing plant is technically a succulent, which means it needs very little watering and is relatively easy to care for.
As the plant’s South American heritage suggests, the Peperomia prefers warm environments out of direct sunlight. The Peperomia Hope has compact stems which can be trained to weave round one another. Give it slightly more water in the warmer months than in winter, and keep its soil moist but not wet.
Spending a little time looking after your plants is a wonderful way to look after yourself, and it's known to reduce stress levels and improve emotional wellbeing. The Peperomia doesn't require too much effort, but its fleshy fronds invite direct contact and its green colouring is known to lift spirits.
The Peperomia Hope's strong and fleshy leaves are great dust trappers, keeping irritants out of the air and isolated to one place.
