Mountain Cabbage Tree Care Guide

Light

Prefers bright, indirect light but can tolerate partial shade. Avoid direct, intense sunlight, especially in hotter climates, as it can scorch the leaves.

Water

Keep the soil consistently moist, but not waterlogged. Water regularly, allowing the top 2 cm of soil to dry out between waterings.

Temperature

Temperatures between 10-20°C are ideal. It can tolerate light frost but should be protected from severe cold and freezing temperatures.

Feeding

Fertilise with a balanced, slow-release fertilizer during the growing season (spring and summer). Feed once a month for optimal growth. Reduce feeding in the fall and winter.

Grooming

Remove dead or yellowing leaves regularly to maintain appearance and plant health. Trim any damaged or unhealthy parts to encourage new growth.

Care

Plant in well-draining soil, rich in organic matter. Repot every 2-3 years if grown in containers, refreshing the soil.
