Key Benefits — Purifying and Humidifying

Houseplants are a great way of improving your home’s air quality!

Through Photosynthesis, they absorb light, carbon dioxide and water and transform them into oxygen, a crucial element to maintain the air clean and healthy. Through transpiration, they emit vapour, humidifying the air and relieving respiratory issues and skin sensitivities!

Plant Care Tips: Philodendron Golden Goddess

This tropical Philodendron is a robust plant that requires little care. Pop yours in bright indirect light, near a window but be careful not to expose it to too much direct sunlight as this could scorch its leaves. A location where it can climb is ideal. Keep the soil evenly moist and only water when the top inch has dried out. Mist the leaves often for extra humidity and feed it once a month during the growing season.

Philodendrons produce aerial roots, when you can, fix the roots to the soil to ensure the top leaves get more moisture. You may need to repot it once every 2-3 years or when you notice the roots outgrowing its pot, use a container with holes for drainage and an organic soil mix.

Useful to know:

I am a hybrid cultivated in Thailand.

My leaves can get 8in long and 4in wide!

I can handle anything from bright light to shade, but keep me away from direct sun.

Allow the top 3cm of my soil to dry between waterings.

Room temperatures of 16-24°C are perfect.

Feed me fortnightly from spring to autumn.

As I am a climber, I will probably require a support such as a moss pole once I get bigger.

I can develop root rot if you water me too much or leave me sitting in water.

I am toxic so please don't eat me.

There is some confusion over my name - you might find me referred to as Lemon Lime, Green emerald or Ceylon Gold!

*Decorative pot sold separately.
