Lime Tree Care Guide
Light
Maximum of 8Hrs of bright - direct sunlight. Over 8 to 12Hrs of light will cause the tree to enter a vegetative state.
Water
Allow the top 5cm to 8cm of soil to dry out in between waterings. Check the soil moisture level every 5 to 7 days in the summer. And every 7 to 10 days in the winter. Watering to frequently will cause issues. Even if leaf drop occurs look at adjusting the temperature before adding more water.
Temperature
Maintain an even temperature of 20°C - 26°C, Try to eliminate any severe temperature fluctuations or drafts.
Feeding
Use a fertiliser formulated for citrus trees. Or select a fertiliser that is heavy in Nitrogen. Worm castings are an excellent way to help boost soils nitrogen levels.
Care
Add additional humidity in the mornings only. Gently wipe down your leaves with a damp cloth.
