Do rotate your pot weekly so each side receives equal rays. If you spot pale or elongated growth, it means your cactus is stretching for more light. In that case, move it closer to the glass or invest in an LED grow lamp rated for succulents plants.
Watering
Overwatering causes more cactus casualties than any other mistake. These spiny succulents store moisture in their stems, so they thrive on a classic soak-and-dry cycle. Wait until the soil is bone-dry at least 2 to 3 inches below the surface before you water again. In active growth (spring and summer), that might be every 7 to 14 days.

Soil
