I'm a shrub-like indoor plant, distinguished by large, bold leaves coloured bright green with contrasting yellow speckles. As I mature my speckles will lighten and become white.Useful to know:
Origin
I am a native of western tropical Africa rainforest region.
Height/Growth
I can grow up to 70cm in height.
Light
I like bright, indirect light. A spot near a window with a sheer curtain is fab.
Water
Wait till the top of the soil feels totally dry, then water me until it comes through the holes in my container.
Temperature
Ideal temperatures are 16-24°C. Avoid cold draughts.
Feeding
Feed the plant once every month during spring and summer. All-purpose fertilizer will do.
Grooming
Tidy me up by pinching off dead leaves at my base.
Care
I am susceptible to spider mites so keep an eye on my leaves for signs of webs. Wipe me down if you see flecks!
Toxicity
I'm toxic if you eat me so keep me away from kids and pets.
